Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nando Arantes kicked off to start the match. Teodoro Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Galvao getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Edinho Aparecido hit a great ball. Galvao's Armando Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando Arantes in the 12th minute of play. Delfim Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo José Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 15th play minutes Paulo José Breckenfeld shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Delfim Trancoso and just under the crossbar into goal. Cuiabazinho SC's Paulo Renato Gaúcho pulled a muscle in his leg after 19 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Paulo José Breckenfeld charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo José Breckenfeld the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cuiabazinho SC booed when Galvao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo José Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delfim Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo José Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nando Arantes in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Trevisan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Nando Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuiabazinho SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nando Arantes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Trevisan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cuiabazinho SC's Teodoro Toledo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by André Luís Baptista in the 29 minute of the game. Nando Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Armando Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Jarbas Santana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galvao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cuiabazinho SC the free kick. In the 33rd match minute, Galvao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Santana to maneuver through the defense. Cuiabazinho SC's Pedro Paulo Prata shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 34th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Armando Trevisan but with some difficulty. Galvao's Armando Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando Arantes in the 37th minute of play. After some careless play in the Cuiabazinho SC defense, Edmílson Neves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delfim Trancoso. The Cuiabazinho SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delfim Trancoso should have stopped the shot. Delfim Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Breckenfeld in the 43rd minute of play. Galvao's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Nando Arantes scored to the left of an out of position Armando Trevisan, making the score, 1-2. In the 48thth minute of the game Paulo José Breckenfeld who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cuiabazinho SC's Delfim Trancoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Cuiabazinho SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Galvao were winning 1-2.

After 56 played minutes Galvao got a freekick which was hit by Paulo José Breckenfeld. 62 minutes into the game, Galvao's Edmílson Neves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Delfim Trancoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. If Paulo José Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Galvao's Dorival Braga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Delfim Trancoso. Delfim Trancoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Delfim Trancoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmílson Neves in the 70th minute. Sandrinho Salgado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Delfim Trancoso made a huge save. With a little luck, Cuiabazinho SC's Delfim Trancoso got control of the ball when Edmílson Neves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Delfim Trancoso was a little too slow when Dorival Braga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 1-5. Delfim Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo José Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Edmílson Neves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delfim Trancoso. Cuiabazinho SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmílson Neves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. When the match was over Galvao could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cuiabazinho SC throughout the match.
