When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Nelson Fernandes sped through Cuiabazinho SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Delfim Trancoso. 17 minutes into the match, Cuiabazinho SC's goal looked a bit too open when Chiquinho Santana came free, but Delfim Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelson Fernandes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Delfim Trancoso made a huge save.
