Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jochem Heesen started the match with the kick off. Unidos do Morro FC's Kuzey Tanpınar got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Unidos do Morro FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Canelada FC:s goal. Edgardo Lekubegi went to the wrong direction when Jochem Heesen was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Edgardo Lekubegi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jochem Heesen, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Unidos do Morro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jochem Heesen came free, but Edgardo Lekubegi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cafu Paes in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Eduardo Ferraz saved Canelada FC from getting behind. A collision led to Unidos do Morro FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Eurico Zonta hit a great ball. Edgardo Lekubegi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovanni Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Edgardo Lekubegi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni Pena in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Luiz Guilherme de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the game, Jochem Heesen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edgardo Lekubegi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edgardo Lekubegi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jochem Heesen in the 32nd minute of play. When Guto Marinho fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unidos do Morro FC's protests and gave Guto Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. Guto Marinho hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Carlos Eduardo Ferraz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cafu Paes in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute Unidos do Morro FC were awarded a corner. Davi Rosa went to the cornerflag to take it. Davi Rosa made a great header on Unidos do Morro FC's corner, it was just that Canelada FC's Carlos Eduardo Ferraz managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kuzey Tanpınar got free with Carlos Eduardo Ferraz in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute, Dé Sergipano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgardo Lekubegi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cafu Paes made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Pedrão Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgardo Lekubegi came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Canelada FC's Geovanni Pena. But to his dismay, Geovanni Pena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Carlos Eduardo Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kuzey Tanpınar, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Dedê Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, Unidos do Morro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Gerber to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Cafu Paes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geovanni Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Edgardo Lekubegi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kuzey Tanpınar took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Eduardo Ferraz. Carlos Eduardo Ferraz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Unidos do Morro FC's Edgardo Lekubegi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jochem Heesen in the 76th minute of play. After 77 played minutes Canelada FC got a freekick which was hit by Geovanni Pena. Canelada FC's Carlos Eduardo Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafu Paes in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute of the match, Geovanni Pena got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edgardo Lekubegi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Geovanni Penas short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Edgardo Lekubegi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Davi Rosa fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unidos do Morro FC's protests and gave Davi Rosa a yellow card for diving instead. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Unidos do Morro FC! Unidos do Morro FC were furious when Guto Marinho was red carded, 93 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 97th minute José Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Lekubegi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Canelada FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Unidos do Morro FC throughout the match.
