When Téo Brito came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the PeidôXerozo EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Téo Brito couldn't finish the play. Luiz Paulo de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Cruz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Brito in the 11th minute of play forced Stand By's goalkeeper Mauro Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Einar Josefsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PeidôXerozo EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Mauro Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Brito in the 15th minute of play. After 16 minutes, Rogério Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stand By and the PeidôXerozo EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of PeidôXerozo EC booed when Stand By was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romário de Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. If Einar Josefsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the game, PeidôXerozo EC's Téo Brito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauro Baiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Ramalho in the 23rd minute of play forced PeidôXerozo EC's goalkeeper Ramiro Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Stand By were awarded a corner. Roberto Lopez went to the cornerflag to take it. Stand By's Roberto Lopez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ramiro Cruz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Einar Josefsson in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauro Baiano saved Stand By from getting behind. After 39 minutes, Maurício Vasconcelos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stand By and the PeidôXerozo EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stand By's Maurício Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Einar Josefsson in the 40th minute of play forced Stand By's goalkeeper Mauro Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Baiano came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by PeidôXerozo EC's Téo Brito. But to his dismay, Téo Brito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The Stand By players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PeidôXerozo EC were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Paulo de Salles made a kick off. 51 minutes in the game Cássio Mangueira did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Romário de Sousa. In the 54th minute Einar Josefsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Téo Brito kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mauro Baiano. That made the score 0-4 in the 56 minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Stand By's goal looked a bit too open when Einar Josefsson came free, but Mauro Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Maia scored 1-4 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ramiro Cruz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Einar Josefsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Mauro Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Romário de Sousa took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Mauro Baiano to make any attempt to save it. Einar Josefsson struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Mauro Baiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PeidôXerozo EC. With a little luck, Stand By's Mauro Baiano got control of the ball when Romário de Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mauro Baiano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Caetano Damião showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 74 minute of play. With his leg Mauro Baiano managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when PeidôXerozo EC's Téo Brito fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Téo Brito's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mauro Baiano firmly grabbed it by the left post. 82 minutes into the game, Celso Goiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PeidôXerozo EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stand By the free kick. Celso Goiano hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Stand By's Mauro Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Einar Josefsson in the 85th minute of play. Téo Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Mauro Baiano made a huge save. Mauro Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Einar Josefsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as PeidôXerozo EC's Einar Josefsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mauro Baiano. That made the score 1-7 after 89 minutes of play. In the 94th minute of the match Geovânio Secco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ramiro Cruz skillfully saved the ball. In the 95th minute Luiz Paulo de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Stand By fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. PeidôXerozo EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
