Léo Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Jorginho Perez sent off a good shot on target. After 43 minutes of play Estrias's Jorginho Perez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Amílton Severo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sandrinho Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílton Severo in the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexsandro Azevedo was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Olavo Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandrinho Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amílton Severo's late challenge caught a Estrias's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amílton Severo helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Ultimate Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Amílton Severo. Dráusio Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo Aguiar having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Alexsandro Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estrias's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexsandro Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Léo Aguiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Estrias defense, João Carlos Veloso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sandrinho Veloso. The Estrias fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sandrinho Veloso should have stopped the shot. Ultimate Futebol Clube's Léo Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexsandro Azevedo in the 65th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Ricardo de Godoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Léo Aguiar. Ultimate Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo de Godoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Dráusio Vander kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Jefferson Fontes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 78th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Estrias's Dráusio Vander got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Bittencourt got free with Sandrinho Veloso in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ricardo de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Vicente Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
