The referee ignored ELO CRF's protests and gave Henrique Mangueira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, Henrique Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovânio Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Hell's Juan Custódio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Juan Custódio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hell protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Juan Custódio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Juan Custódio kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 19 minutes, Maicon Coelho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ELO CRF and the Hell players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute of the match Carlos Fernando Lucas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Geovânio Veloso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 邱广耀 made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Gilson Pernambucano sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in ELO CRF's zone, Abel Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovânio Veloso came out of the goal and Abel Santana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Simão Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. ELO CRF's supporters rose to their feet, but Simão Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 邱广耀 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilson Pernambucano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, 邱广耀 skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Geovânio Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Santana in the 41st minute of the match. With a little luck, Hell's 邱广耀 got control of the ball when Gilson Pernambucano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Murilo Meira to strike the kick off in the second half. If Abel Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovânio Veloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Santana in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Abel Santana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geovânio Veloso. ELO CRF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel Santana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Abel Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Meira in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovânio Veloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Noel de Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, ELO CRF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Geovânio Veloso was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Murilo Meira. The supporters of ELO CRF booed when Hell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute Simão Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 邱广耀 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Ortiz in the 81st minute of play forced Hell's goalkeeper 邱广耀 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Veloso having to interfere. Simão Ortiz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 邱广耀 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Michel Terres charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michel Terres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th minute, Michel Terres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ELO CRF's Geovânio Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Meira in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute Gilson Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 邱广耀 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hell walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
