Tarcisio Vargas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Amílton Severo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 11 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, João Carlos Veloso took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Tarcisio Vargas to make any attempt to save it. When Luís Guilherme Negri, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 30 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Léo Aguiar was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. João Carlos Veloso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Tarcisio Vargas made a huge save. In the 39th minute Amílton Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcisio Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute of the match, João Carlos Veloso got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tarcisio Vargas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 43 minutes of play, Ultimate Futebol Clube's João Carlos Veloso made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tarcisio Vargas was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Emparedado's Tarcisio Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Bittencourt in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Ultimate Futebol Clube's Vicente Bittencourt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
