After 2 minutes, Fabiano Furlan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SF Aripuanã and the Soberano FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd match minute, SF Aripuanã was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabiano Furlan to maneuver through the defense. Soberano FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Marcelinho Lopes scored to the left of an out of position Vinícius Capixaba, making the score, 1-0. Marcelinho Lopes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 7th minute. SF Aripuanã's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Marcelinho Lopes in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vinícius Capixaba, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marco Ospin struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Vinícius Capixaba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SF Aripuanã. SF Aripuanã's Marco Ospin got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 26 played minutes SF Aripuanã got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Furlan. If Marcelinho Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelinho Lopes took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vinícius Capixaba. Vinícius Capixaba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 33 minutes of play, SF Aripuanã's Marcelinho Lopes made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vinícius Capixaba was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Soberano FC's Vinícius Capixaba got control of the ball when Marcelinho Lopes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vinícius Capixaba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelinho Lopes in the 40th minute. In the 45th minute, Marcelinho Lopes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soberano FC's goalkeeper Vinícius Capixaba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dedé Sá stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelinho Lopes in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinícius Capixaba saved Soberano FC from getting behind. Marcelinho Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vinícius Capixaba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelinho Lopes's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 70th minute Ricardinho Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinícius Capixaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelinho Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelinho Lopes in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinícius Capixaba saved Soberano FC from getting behind. Soberano FC's Vinícius Capixaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelinho Lopes in the 83rd minute of play. Vinícius Capixaba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelinho Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Marcelinho Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SF Aripuanã's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelinho Lopes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelinho Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius Capixaba having to interfere. Marcelinho Lopes scored 5-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vinícius Capixaba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
