Laje de Pedra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Adolfo Magalhães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Elvis Tek struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Luisinho Martins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arara azul. Romário Baggio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Wit Panasewicz made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Arara azul's João Adolfo Magalhães got a free kick in the 24th minute. Luisinho Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvis Tek in the 32nd minute of the match. The Arara azul fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Arara azul's Elvis Tek looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elvis Tek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Adolfo Magalhães in the 37th minute of play forced Laje de Pedra's goalkeeper Luisinho Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisinho Martins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elvis Tek went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After 42 played minutes Laje de Pedra got a freekick which was hit by Doriva de Amorim. When Manfredo Brodel came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Arara azul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manfredo Brodel couldn't finish the play. Luisinho Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvis Tek in the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elvis Tek to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Laje de Pedra's goalkeeper Luisinho Martins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 59 minutes, Elvis Tek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arara azul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elvis Tek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Adolfo Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elvis Tek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisinho Martins having to interfere. Luisinho Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Adolfo Magalhães in the 67th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Arara azul's Elvis Tek slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luisinho Martins. That made the score 0-6 after 68 minutes of play. Romário Baggio kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Elvis Tek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisinho Martins having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elvis Tek in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luisinho Martins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Adolfo Magalhães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Luisinho Martins made a huge save. Wit Panasewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmo Penha in the 88th minute of play. Arara azul's João Adolfo Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Arara azul left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Laje de Pedra.
