Jairo Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Meira in the 6th minute of the match. Umberto Batista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Atlético Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Ulysses Abraão came free, but Umberto Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jairo Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Custódio in the 15th minute of play. In the 20th minute Ulysses Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Black Pearl booed when Atlético Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisão Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Atlético Cruz defense, Tony de Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Umberto Batista. The Atlético Cruz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Umberto Batista should have stopped the shot. Umberto Batista came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Black Pearl's Ulysses Abraão. But to his dismay, Ulysses Abraão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When %teams%'s Haroldo Custódio was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 2-3 just inside the left pole, 37 minutes into the game. Jairo Tróia was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. A collision led to Black Pearl getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Tony de Lima hit a great ball. Haroldo Custódio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jairo Tróia made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Haroldo Custódio sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haroldo Custódio was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Atlético Cruz's goalkeeper Umberto Batista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Capixaba. Umberto Batista came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Black Pearl's Frank Capixaba. But to his dismay, Frank Capixaba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Umberto Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulysses Abraão in the 58th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Frank Capixaba kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Umberto Batista. That made the score 2-5 in the 60 minute of play. Atlético Cruz's Umberto Batista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Cruz from getting a goal against them. Umberto Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulysses Abraão in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Atlético Cruz's Ernani Dantas got a free kick in the 65th minute. With 67 minutes on the clock, João Paulo Souza commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atlético Cruz! When Atlético Cruz's Haroldo Custódio in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Black Pearl's goalie prevented a goal. Tony de Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Vicente Gonçalves made in the 84th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ulysses Abraão however managed to control. Atlético Cruz's Umberto Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulysses Abraão in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Tony de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Atlético Cruz getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Eurico Capixaba hit a great ball. Frank Capixaba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Umberto Batista made a huge save. Frank Capixabas short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Umberto Batista to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 92 minutes into the match, Tony de Lima notched a goal, 2-6, to the right of Atlético Cruz's Umberto Batista. Umberto Batista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tony de Lima hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. A collision led to Black Pearl getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Carlos Augusto Vidal hit a great ball.
