The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elvis Tek in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelson Maciel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nelson Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Adolfo Magalhães in the 11th minute of the match. Nelson Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Adolfo Magalhães in the 14th minute of play. Elvis Tek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Nelson Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, INDIGO's Edson Zonta got a free kick in the 18th minute. Nelson Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvis Tek, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Arara azul's Wit Panasewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Arara azul from getting a goal against them. João Adolfo Magalhães took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelson Maciel. Nelson Maciel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Elvis Tek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, INDIGO's goal looked a bit too open when João Adolfo Magalhães came free, but Nelson Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jacobo Romelio fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored INDIGO's protests and gave Jacobo Romelio a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes INDIGO got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Romelio. After some careless play in the INDIGO defense, Elvis Tek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nelson Maciel. The INDIGO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nelson Maciel should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, Edson Zonta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Elvis Tek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute of the match Manfredo Brodel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nelson Maciel skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Arara azul getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Manfredo Brodel hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elvis Tek was the one to do the kick off. INDIGO's Nelson Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvis Tek in the 56th minute of play. After 57 minutes, Leandro Vieira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INDIGO and the Arara azul players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, INDIGO's Leandro Vieira got a free kick in the 57th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Arara azul's João Adolfo Magalhães nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nelson Maciel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Adolfo Magalhães got free with Nelson Maciel in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacobo Romelio hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Sydney Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 70 minutes of play, Arara azul's Elvis Tek made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nelson Maciel was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of INDIGO booed when Arara azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvis Tek didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Arara azul:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of INDIGO:s goal. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Arara azul's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sydney Leite was slow to take the kick. During this time INDIGO's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on INDIGO's corner Sydney Leite fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wit Panasewicz quite easily take care of the ball. Percy Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After having played for 85 minutes, Manfredo Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arara azul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manfredo Brodel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, INDIGO's goal looked a bit too open when Elvis Tek came free, but Nelson Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. INDIGO's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Elvis Tek scored to the left of an out of position Nelson Maciel, making the score, 0-6. Arara azul played a much better game than INDIGO and deserved their victory. The INDIGO players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
