The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luizão Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iker Nahia in the 6th minute of play. José Paulo dos Santos was a little too slow when Clodoveo Txindoki got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. With his leg José Paulo dos Santos managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Sagatyba Esporte Clube's Clodoveo Txindoki fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 18th minute, Sagatyba Esporte Clube's Raimundo Kaiet dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. David Ramalho's late challenge caught a SC ENSEADA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Ramalho helped the player get up and apologised. David Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 25th minute, SC ENSEADA's Valdo Marques seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Valdo Marques the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SC ENSEADA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Valdo Marques had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to SC ENSEADA getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Valdo Marques hit a great ball. Wade Shannon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC ENSEADA's goalkeeper José Paulo dos Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in SC ENSEADA's zone, David Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Paulo dos Santos came out of the goal and David Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC ENSEADA's Iker Nahia got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Ramalho hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Wade Shannon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Paulo dos Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Raimundo Kaiet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. José Paulo dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

In the 52nd match minute, SC ENSEADA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Nahia to maneuver through the defense. After 54th play minutes Clodoveo Txindoki shot 5-0, a short shot which went by José Paulo dos Santos and just under the crossbar into goal. Sagatyba Esporte Clube's Wade Shannon got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raimundo Kaiet struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. José Paulo dos Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sagatyba Esporte Clube. The audience was convinced that Clodoveo Txindoki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Paulo dos Santos was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Kaiet in the 63rd minute of play forced SC ENSEADA's goalkeeper José Paulo dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clodoveo Txindoki in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Paulo dos Santos saved SC ENSEADA from getting behind. After 67 minutes SC ENSEADA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wambasther Cavani who took care of the corner kick. Perivaldo Bastos thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished José Paulo dos Santos, a very annoying self made goal in the 67th minute which led to 6-0. José Paulo dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Kaiet in the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Txindoki in the 72nd minute of play forced SC ENSEADA's goalkeeper José Paulo dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sagatyba Esporte Clube's Luizão Rezende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Sagatyba Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in SC ENSEADA's zone, Wade Shannon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Paulo dos Santos came out of the goal and Wade Shannon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clodoveo Txindoki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. José Paulo dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wade Shannon might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Paulo dos Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wade Shannon ran back to his position shaking his head. José Paulo dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clodoveo Txindoki in the 94th minute of play. José Paulo dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Kaiet, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
