Spectators: 7554 (Terracing: 5667, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Claudinho Pinho kicked off to start the match. Ciro Castro hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. If Claudinho Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aírton Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enéas Koehler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. With a little luck, RICO FC's Enéas Koehler got control of the ball when Aírton Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Enéas Koehler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aírton Montenegro in the 20th minute. Ademar de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Saldanha having to interfere. Vladimir Arósio hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. When Claudinho Loyola came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Squadra Demarchi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Loyola couldn't finish the play. Rodrigo Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Claudinho Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Koehler having to interfere. Angelo Dantas charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelo Dantas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Squadra Demarchi booed when RICO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Claudinho Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Squadra Demarchi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinho Loyola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Amílton Pontes made the kick off in the second half. Nilson Corrêa's late challenge caught a RICO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nilson Corrêa helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Squadra Demarchi got a freekick which was hit by Nilson Corrêa. Aírton Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute, Claudinho Pinho made a precise shot to the right of Enéas Koehler. RICO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in RICO FC's zone, Aírton Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enéas Koehler came out of the goal and Aírton Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Pinho in the 69th minute of play forced RICO FC's goalkeeper Enéas Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RICO FC's Luiz Fernando França got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ademar de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Saldanha having to interfere. Enéas Koehler came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Squadra Demarchi's Aírton Montenegro. But to his dismay, Aírton Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The supporters of RICO FC booed when Squadra Demarchi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Romário de Castro in the 94th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Squadra Demarchi's Ciro Castro. When Nelson Vidal fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Squadra Demarchi's protests and gave Nelson Vidal a yellow card for diving instead. Squadra Demarchi walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
