An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademar de Almeida in the 25th minute of play forced CB United's goalkeeper Dênis Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CB United's Dênis Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Dantas in the 44th minute of play. Angelo Dantas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Dênis Sena made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amílton Pontes was the one to do the kick off. In the 64th minute Luiz Fernando França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dênis Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, CB United's goal looked a bit too open when Ademar de Almeida came free, but Dênis Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dênis Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fernando França in the 66th minute of the match.
