Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amílton Pontes made a kick off. In the 57th match minute, RICO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. When Luís Fernando Massa came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Los Míticos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fernando Massa couldn't finish the play. If Amílton Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeu Leme hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the game, Los Míticos FC's Romeu Leme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enéas Koehler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 74th minute, Amílton Pontes made a precise shot to the right of Doriva Mangueira. Los Míticos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Los Míticos FC's Maurício de Azevedo got a free kick in the 77th minute. After a defensive mix-up in RICO FC's zone, Luisito Lupin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enéas Koehler came out of the goal and Luisito Lupin tried to chip the ball over his head.
