Aírton Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emílio Prestes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aírton Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th minute, Júnior Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emílio Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Pinho in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th minute of the match Sérgio Batista shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emílio Prestes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
