In the 4th minute, Lenílson Coutinho sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and DICAOL FC's Emílio Prestes didn't even have to move. When Romeu de Salles came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the COLORADO DA OLARIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeu de Salles couldn't finish the play. After 16 minutes of play, COLORADO DA OLARIA's César Saldanha made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emílio Prestes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emílio Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Alagoano in the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, César Saldanha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emílio Prestes. DICAOL FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that César Saldanha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 28th minute of the match DICAOL FC got a corner. COLORADO DA OLARIA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emílio Linhares ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dagoberto Cerezo made a great header on DICAOL FC's corner, it was just that COLORADO DA OLARIA's Vitório Moraes managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 41st match minute, DICAOL FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Emílio Prestes came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by COLORADO DA OLARIA's César Saldanha. But to his dismay, César Saldanha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romeu de Salles to make the kick off. When Chicão Batista came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the DICAOL FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chicão Batista couldn't finish the play. When César Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the COLORADO DA OLARIA fans jumped to their feet. COLORADO DA OLARIA's César Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. César Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Prestes having to interfere. When Romeu de Salles, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 74 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Emílio Prestes was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If César Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 played minutes DICAOL FC got a freekick which was hit by Adelino de Andrade. Romeu de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Prestes having to interfere. Romeu de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The DICAOL FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. COLORADO DA OLARIA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
