In the 15th match minute, Recursolandia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Víktor Linares to maneuver through the defense. Zé Carlos Motta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vic Vanpevenaeyge. Recursolandia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nico Dahmen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Corinthians do Interior's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Siqueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Murillo Queirós hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. When Alfredinho Valladares fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. But to his dismay, Nico Dahmen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aírton Moreno during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 played minutes Corinthians do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Aírton Moreno. In the 44th minute, Luís Fabiano Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Roberto Siqueira was a little too slow when Nico Dahmen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 4-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Nico Dahmen ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nico Dahmen in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Roberto Siqueira saved Corinthians do Interior from getting behind. After 65 minutes, Alfredão Romero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Recursolandia and the Corinthians do Interior players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Nico Dahmen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Roberto Siqueira was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Nico Dahmen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
