But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dadá Donato couldn't finish the play. Dadá Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Renan Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When Alexsandro Hermes fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jacus's protests and gave Alexsandro Hermes a yellow card for diving instead. Alexsandro Hermes hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Jacus's Tião Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Arce in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Alexsandro Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the game, Sao Paulo CE's Raphael Trigo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tião Nunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. Tião Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo de Queiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Tião Nunes made a huge save. In the 75th match minute, Sao Paulo CE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Veloso to maneuver through the defense. Tião Nunes was a little too slow when Raphael Trigo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 0-10. Giovani Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Tião Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tião Nunes made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Bernardo de Queiroz sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno Botelho got free with Tião Nunes in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tião Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Trigo in the 93rd minute of the match. Tião Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphael Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Sao Paulo CE left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jacus.
