Armando Polmone's late challenge caught a Recursolandia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armando Polmone helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Armando Polmone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Matías Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Nico Dahmen sped through Clube Atlético Serrano's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcelo Messias. Ediberto Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vic Vanpevenaeyge having to interfere. Clube Atlético Serrano were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Recursolandia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Betinho Nunes took the corner. Clube Atlético Serrano's Armando Polmone was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vic Vanpevenaeyge in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredão Romero in the 44th minute of play forced Clube Atlético Serrano's goalkeeper Marcelo Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Recursolandia's Nico Dahmen got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Alfredão Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Clube Atlético Serrano players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Recursolandia were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Washington Assis made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Giovanni Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vic Vanpevenaeyge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betinho Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vic Vanpevenaeyge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Recursolandia's Nico Dahmen got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredão Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Recursolandia's Vic Vanpevenaeyge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Assis in the 92nd minute of play. When Alfredão Romero fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Recursolandia's protests and gave Alfredão Romero a yellow card for diving instead. After 92 played minutes Recursolandia got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Romero. For all the effort they put into the match, the Recursolandia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Clube Atlético Serrano.
