The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte dos Santos in the 5th minute of play forced Piracuruca's goalkeeper Agnaldo Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7thth minute of the game Fabiano Contaldi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piracuruca's Agnaldo Meira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Brusque FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ricardo Bueno hit a great ball. Piracuruca's Kléber Moreno quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Meta Bøtel, made in the 11th minute of the game. Cristian Moreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Cardoso in the 13th minute. After having played for 16 minutes, Agostinho Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piracuruca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agostinho Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brusque FC's Cristian Moreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Brusque FC from getting a goal against them. Robert Banciu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomás Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Cristian Moreira made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vivaldo Mangueira got free with Cristian Moreira in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute, Robert Banciu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zézinho Nunes hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zézinho Nunes during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tomás Medeiros made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Cardoso in the 52nd minute of play forced Brusque FC's goalkeeper Cristian Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléber Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Brusque FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kléber Moreno came free, but Cristian Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Medeiros in the 66th minute of play. Duarte dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Kléber Moreno succeeded in the game's 81st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Piracuruca were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Brusque FC for a fine match.
