Dito Paes lost his temper 14 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 14th minute, one of new ring:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for new ring. The referee gave Itapema a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marco Falcão, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of new ring's Rony Passos. 0-2. David Gregersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Carlos Arantes kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Dráusio Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gernando Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geovani Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geovani Bezerra was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, João Carlos Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovani Bezerra got free with Rony Passos in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by new ring's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marco Falcão was slow to take the kick. During this time Itapema's players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovani Bezerra got free with Rony Passos in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dráusio Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Rony Passos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Geovani Bezerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itapema's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovani Bezerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rony Passos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geovani Bezerra's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Rony Passos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rony Passos made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Geovani Bezerra sent off a good shot on target. Jorge Bladi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto da Cunha having to interfere. Rony Passos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geovani Bezerra in the 96th minute. The new ring supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Itapema's performance. The match ended with a win for Itapema.
