The audience was convinced that Pedrinho Britto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustaw Domaradzki was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Gustaw Domaradzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrinho Britto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Iuna's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jefferson Guerra fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pedrinho Britto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44thth minute of the game Pedrinho Britto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pereirao's Gustaw Domaradzki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Pedrinho Britto got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Iuna. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudinho Mandrak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jefferson Guerra in the 60th minute of the match. Vladimir Couto's late challenge caught a Iuna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimir Couto helped the player get up and apologised. The Iuna players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Pereirao from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
