Rony Passos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fábio Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Bladi hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Medeiros in the 13th minute of play forced new ring's goalkeeper Rony Passos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Kléber Moreno took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Rony Passos to make any attempt to save it. Flávio Zonta charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flávio Zonta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Piracuruca got a freekick which was hit by Flávio Zonta. Jorge Bladi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caco de Toledo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Agnaldo Meira having to make a save. Rony Passos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vivaldo Mangueira went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Tomás Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. William Cardoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Rony Passos made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Medeiros in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge Bladi was the one to do the kick off. In the 88thth minute of the game Tomás Medeiros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but new ring's Rony Passos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 89 minutes into the match, new ring's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Mangueira came free, but Rony Passos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Piracuruca's goal looked a bit too open when Caco de Toledo came free, but Agnaldo Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. William Cardoso hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Rony Passos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Medeiros in the 96th minute of the match. Piracuruca walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
