Atininga's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Flávio Bueno 8 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 15th minute, Franklin Pereira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raimundo Falcão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Anísio de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Flávio Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anísio de Alcântara having to interfere. After 27 minutes, Lúcio Faria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atininga and the Caneleiros da Várzea players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Atininga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Faria to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Bernardo de Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the game, José Maria da Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caneleiros da Várzea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atininga the free kick. A collision led to Caneleiros da Várzea getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. José Maria da Silva hit a great ball. Raimundo Falcão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adelino Azevedo in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimundo Falcão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raimundo Falcão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The Caneleiros da Várzea players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Atininga were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adelino Azevedo to strike the kick off in the second half. Anísio de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo de Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. With his leg Raimundo Falcão managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Atininga's Adelino Azevedo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 71 minutes into the match, Caneleiros da Várzea's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Azevedo came free, but Raimundo Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adelino Azevedo in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Falcão saved Caneleiros da Várzea from getting behind. Raimundo Falcão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franklin Pereira in the 73rd minute. After 79 minutes of play, Caneleiros da Várzea's Flávio Bueno made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anísio de Alcântara was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 84th play minutes Adelino Azevedo shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Raimundo Falcão and just under the crossbar into goal. When Atininga's Adelino Azevedo in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Atininga's attentive Rony Palmeira managed to snatch the ball when Haroldo Alagoano made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. Caneleiros da Várzea's Raimundo Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Azevedo in the 92nd minute of play.
