Thanks to some nice moves Jonas Vieira could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Geovanni Neto however easily saved by the left post. Benedito Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Neto having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Taquary's goal looked a bit too open when Benedito Salgado came free, but Geovanni Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Jonas Vieira made a precise shot to the right of Geovanni Neto. Taquary's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Fred Munhoz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emílio Zanette having to make a save. Santos FC da ZL's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
