Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Benedito Salgado kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Flávio Bueno dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emílio Zanette, 1-0. Caneleiros da Várzea's Raimundo Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Vieira in the 9th minute of play. Bernardo de Lima who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Emílio Zanette when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 27 minutes, Flávio Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caneleiros da Várzea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flávio Bueno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Vieira in the 28th minute of play forced Caneleiros da Várzea's goalkeeper Raimundo Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Caneleiros da Várzea getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Jeremias Oliveira hit a great ball. Raimundo Falcão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Vieira in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Santos FC da ZL's Evandro Simão got a free kick in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Flávio Bueno notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Santos FC da ZL's Emílio Zanette. Emílio Zanette was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Flávio Bueno to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Bueno in the 58th minute of play forced Santos FC da ZL's goalkeeper Emílio Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emílio Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo de Lima in the 60th minute of play. Emílio Zanette stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo de Lima's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. The attack was good, but when Bernardo de Lima in the 62nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Emílio Zanette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Benedito da Silva fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos FC da ZL's protests and gave Benedito da Silva a yellow card for diving instead. Benedito da Silva hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flávio Bueno in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emílio Zanette prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Caneleiros da Várzea getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Fausto Mangueira hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Caneleiros da Várzea's goal looked a bit too open when Benedito Salgado came free, but Raimundo Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo de Lima struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Emílio Zanette didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caneleiros da Várzea. In the 96th minute, Flávio Bueno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Caneleiros da Várzea's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
