Mogi FC - DMZ-'s Tadeu Custódio got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henrique Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Diego Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Braga having to interfere. After having played for 18 minutes, Pedro Geromel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mogi FC - DMZ-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Geromel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulo José Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Francisco Dias in the 20th minute of the match. A hard shot 24 in the game by Mikael Lingren from a close distance when the talented Valdir Braga managed to make a qualified save. Vasco Da Gama's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikael Lingren got free with Valdir Braga in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mikael Lingren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeu Custódio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Valdir Braga made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Tadeu Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mogi FC - DMZ-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Tadeu Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdir Braga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Vasco Da Gama defense, Tadeu Oliveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdir Braga. The Vasco Da Gama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdir Braga should have stopped the shot. Mogi FC - DMZ-'s Pedro Geromel got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th match minute, Vasco Da Gama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Didi de Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Paulo José Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Mogi FC - DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when João Francisco Dias came free, but Paulo José Matorin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikael Lingren in the 42nd minute of play forced Vasco Da Gama's goalkeeper Valdir Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikael Lingren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Valdir Braga made a huge save. Mikael Lingrens short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Valdir Braga to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 47 minutes into the match, Mogi FC - DMZ-'s Tadeu Custódio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdir Braga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgard Marinho to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Tadeu Custódio notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Vasco Da Gama's Valdir Braga. Valdir Braga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mikael Lingren struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Valdir Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mogi FC - DMZ-. Tadeu Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Valdir Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdir Braga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mikael Lingren's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. In the 71stth minute of the game Mikael Lingren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vasco Da Gama's Valdir Braga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedro Geromel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mogi FC - DMZ-'s Paulo José Matorin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Mogi FC - DMZ- from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute Mikael Lingren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mogi FC - DMZ-'s Tadeu Oliveira got a free kick in the 86th minute. Valdir Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Geromel, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Elano Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Paulo José Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silas Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Mogi FC - DMZ- fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Mogi FC - DMZ-'s Mikael Lingren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mogi FC - DMZ- fully deserved thier win.
