An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal de Godoi in the 4th minute of play forced Mogi FC - DMZ-'s goalkeeper Paulo José Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo José Matorin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Varela, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Gugu Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José Matorin having to interfere. Alfredão Montenegro's late challenge caught a Mogi FC - DMZ-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredão Montenegro helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes Balanca got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Montenegro. Cléberson da Cunha was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Mikael Lingren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mikael Lingren really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Cléberson da Cunha made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Mikael Lingren sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Tadeu Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mogi FC - DMZ-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Tadeu Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cléberson da Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mikael Lingren in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cléberson da Cunha saved Balanca from getting behind. Cléberson da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikael Lingren in the 35th minute of the match. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Balanca's goalkeeper Cléberson da Cunha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A hard shot 41 in the game by Mikael Lingren from a close distance when the talented Cléberson da Cunha managed to make a qualified save. Balanca's players were relieved. With his leg Cléberson da Cunha managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Mogi FC - DMZ-'s Mikael Lingren fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cléberson da Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mikael Lingren's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Mogi FC - DMZ-'s Mikael Lingren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cléberson da Cunha. Cléberson da Cunha yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mikael Lingren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Mogi FC - DMZ-'s Tadeu Custódio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cléberson da Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After 57 minutes, Mikael Lingren made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Balanca's Cléberson da Cunha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Mikael Lingren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Mikael Lingren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cléberson da Cunha was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. 70 minutes into the game, Mogi FC - DMZ-'s Mikael Lingren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cléberson da Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. After a rather tough play, Balanca's Carlos Augusto Barros got a free kick in the 79th minute. Cléberson da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikael Lingren in the 80th minute of the match. Cléberson da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Lingren in the 81st minute of play. After having played for 86 minutes, Tadeu Custódio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mogi FC - DMZ-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeu Custódio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Mogi FC - DMZ- booed when Balanca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juvenal de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tadeu Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Cléberson da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadeu Custódio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cléberson da Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. If Mikael Lingren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mikael Lingren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléberson da Cunha having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Mogi FC - DMZ- players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
