But to his dismay, Luisão Valadares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Agnaldo Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evandro Saraiva got free with Edvaldo Matorin in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Agnaldo Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Erivaldo Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Queixadas's Erivaldo Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão Valadares in the 31st minute of play. Luiz Guilherme Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. The wind increased when Luiz Guilherme Varela made the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Marcelo Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 played minutes Queixadas got a freekick which was hit by Jerônimo dos Santos. Erivaldo Cearense was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ernesto das Neves. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Guilherme Varela in the 64th minute of play forced Associação Atlética Campo's goalkeeper Edvaldo Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Luís Gustavo Guimarães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Queixadas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Associação Atlética Campo the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Queixadas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Associação Atlética Campo:s goal. Luisão Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Erivaldo Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Andrade's late challenge caught a Queixadas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 80th match minute, Associação Atlética Campo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Luisão Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelo Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo Cearense having to interfere. Erivaldo Cearense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Andrade's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Rubens de Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Marcelo Andrade was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
