Edvaldo Netto hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Sidnei Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45thth minute of the game Edvaldo Netto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Barbarense's Emil Dziedziak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edvaldo Netto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Real Safira C.F's Edvaldo Netto got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Augusto Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elias Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amauri Fernandes having to interfere. The referee gave Felippe Linares a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Real Safira C.F fully deserved thier win.
