Alfredinho Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Fernandez having to interfere. Luciano Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Délio Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The corner led C.A. Juventus's Alfredinho Borges to fire away a dangerous shot which Luciano Fernandez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Délio Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Luciano Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Badajoz SC's Virgílio Eger slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nicolas Guimarães. That made the score 1-1 after 14 minutes of play. Alfredinho Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Fernandez having to interfere. Luiz Fernando da Mata struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Luciano Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. Juventus. Virgílio Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Nicolas Guimarães made a huge save. 34 minutes into the match, Badajoz SC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredinho Borges came free, but Luciano Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Wágner Saraiva fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. Juventus's protests and gave Wágner Saraiva a yellow card for diving instead. 47 minutes into the game, José Augusto Araújo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A. Juventus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Badajoz SC the free kick. After 48 played minutes C.A. Juventus got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto Araújo. The Badajoz SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. C.A. Juventus were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredinho Borges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Alfredinho Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. Juventus's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredinho Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luciano Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vito Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The C.A. Juventus fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when C.A. Juventus's Alfredinho Borges looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 67th minute, Alfredinho Borges reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luciano Fernandez. The goal made the score 1-4. After 70 played minutes C.A. Juventus got a freekick which was hit by Remo Marquez. In the 71st minute of the match Carlinhos Mello shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicolas Guimarães showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredinho Borges in the 73rd minute of play forced Badajoz SC's goalkeeper Luciano Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Alfredinho Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicolas Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Léo Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Délio Dantas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luciano Fernandez. Badajoz SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Délio Dantas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Nicolas Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léo Neto in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute, C.A. Juventus's Alfredinho Borges ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luciano Fernandez. Luciano Fernandez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. After 87 minutes, Alfredinho Borges made it 1-7 with a short kick to the right side. Badajoz SC's Luciano Fernandez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. André Luiz Chaves was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 91 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of C.A. Juventus:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Badajoz SC:s goal. Alfredinho Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Fernandez having to interfere.
