Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Arnaldo Lago made the kick off which started today's match. If Magno Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Laerte Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Suva's Percy de Andrade got control of the ball when Laerte Linhares tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 8 minutes of play, Ibiracu's Laerte Linhares made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Percy de Andrade was left in no man's land by his defense there! 12 minutes into the match, Suva's Nicolas Cabral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronaldão Tinoco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Paulista in the 14th minute of play forced Ibiracu's goalkeeper Ronaldão Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy de Andrade having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Suva got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Jacinto. The supporters of Suva booed when Ibiracu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Suva's Magno Paulista got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rdth minute of the game Magno Paulista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibiracu's Ronaldão Tinoco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnaldo Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy de Andrade having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Gabriel Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ramiro Jacinto came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Suva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiro Jacinto couldn't finish the play. Percy de Andrade made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Laerte Linhares sent off a good shot on target. Benê Nascimento hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 54 minutes Ibiracu's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Patrick Melo who took care of the corner kick. Nicolas Cabral in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ronaldão Tinoco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 56 played minutes Ibiracu got a freekick which was hit by Alan Machado. 57 minutes into the match, Nicolas Cabral dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ronaldão Tinoco, 1-1. 66 minutes into the game, Raimundo Prado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Percy de Andrade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69th match minute, Ibiracu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Machado to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the game, Suva's Magno Paulista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronaldão Tinoco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Cabral got free with Ronaldão Tinoco in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnaldo Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Percy de Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Ibiracu's goal looked a bit too open when Magno Paulista came free, but Ronaldão Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Suva defense, Arnaldo Lago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Percy de Andrade. The Suva fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Percy de Andrade should have stopped the shot. If Nicolas Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldão Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Paulista in the 93rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Magno Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Suva's supporters rose to their feet, but Magno Paulista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldão Tinoco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Suva's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
