Teameme FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Lago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Pitta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gurjao's David Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lewis Whatley in the 18th minute of play. Laércio Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute Lewis Whatley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Rômulo Dante put in a rough tackle. 25 minutes into the game, one of Teameme FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 29 minutes into the game, Inácio Lago was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Teameme FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gurjao the free kick. A collision led to Teameme FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Inácio Lago hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Antônio Carlos Marinho could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Innokentiy Zimin however easily saved by the left post. Marcus Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. David Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lewis Whatley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Pitta having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Teameme FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Mota came free, but Innokentiy Zimin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Lewis Whatley made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Teameme FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Veloso to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute, Inácio Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute Leandro Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Innokentiy Zimin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Gurjao getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Doriva de Azevedo hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Lewis Whatley fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of David Pitta, passed just outside the right post. When Antônio Carlos Marinho came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Gurjao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antônio Carlos Marinho couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the match, Gurjao's goal looked a bit too open when Lewis Whatley came free, but David Pitta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Inácio Lago in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Pitta saved Gurjao from getting behind. Teameme FC's Inácio Lago got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Gurjao's David Pitta got control of the ball when Inácio Lago tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Inácio Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Teameme FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Marinho came free, but Innokentiy Zimin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
