In the 3rd minute of the match Carlinhos Mello shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amauri Fernandes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Amauri Fernandes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgílio Eger in the 7th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Real Safira C.F's zone, Léo Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amauri Fernandes came out of the goal and Léo Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 played minutes Léo Neto rounded Real Safira C.F's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Virgílio Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Amauri Fernandes made a huge save. Virgílio Eger struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Amauri Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Badajoz SC. Virgílio Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Amauri Fernandes made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgílio Eger got free with Amauri Fernandes in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Badajoz SC booed when Real Safira C.F was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nixon Richard didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Real Safira C.F's Amauri Fernandes got control of the ball when Virgílio Eger tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Real Safira C.F! Badajoz SC's Virgílio Eger got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Real Safira C.F getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Erasmo Trigo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Badajoz SC's zone, Alvarez Mediano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Fernandez came out of the goal and Alvarez Mediano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Edvaldo Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Safira C.F's supporters rose to their feet, but Edvaldo Netto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luciano Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alvarez Mediano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luciano Fernandez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Virgílio Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amauri Fernandes having to interfere. If Edvaldo Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amauri Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Edvaldo Netto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amauri Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Eger in the 75th minute of play. With a little luck, Badajoz SC's Luciano Fernandez got control of the ball when Alvarez Mediano tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Léo Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Badajoz SC's Léo Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 93 minutes of play, Badajoz SC's Virgílio Eger made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amauri Fernandes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Safira C.F's goalkeeper Amauri Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
