Spectators: 7495 (Terracing: 5622, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when José Maria Souza took the kick off in the first half of the match. Kauã Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bala Halls in the 3rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mané Lopez during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rodeiro fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! Bala Halls fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauã Rossi having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, Jericoacoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugênio Berger to maneuver through the defense. Bala Halls could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Kauã Rossi made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Carlinhos Sabóia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kauã Rossi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 31st minute, Luís Gustavo de Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabian Barthez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 37th minute José Maria Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Barthez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Luís Gustavo de Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Jericoacoara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Gustavo de Godoi couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute, Bala Halls hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Luz in the 43rd minute of play forced Rodeiro's goalkeeper Fabian Barthez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Barthez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maria Souza in the 45th minute of the match. Carlos Fernando Pires hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bala Halls to make the kick off. Wágner Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. José Maria Souza took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabian Barthez. Fabian Barthez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Pedro Augusto Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Augusto Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Rodeiro booed when Jericoacoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Maria Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodeiro's Fabian Barthez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Rodeiro from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Luís Gustavo de Godoi took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Fabian Barthez to make any attempt to save it. José Maria Souza took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabian Barthez. Fabian Barthez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. With a little luck, Rodeiro's Fabian Barthez got control of the ball when José Maria Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 89 minutes, José Maria Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jericoacoara and the Rodeiro players grew even worse after the yellow card.
