Cariri Futebol Clube's Glauco Maciel got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Glauco Maciel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Dorian Sergipano made a huge save. In the 29th minute, Aluísio Netto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Cariri Futebol Clube booed when thurusbengus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natã Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Lara to make the kick off. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for thurusbengus! The referee gave Cariri Futebol Clube a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Glauco Maciel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of thurusbengus's Dorian Sergipano. 2-0. Cariri Futebol Clube's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
