After a rather tough play, Canoeiros's Cleiton Nunes got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Arlindo Travassos made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when José Maria Neto sent off a good shot on target. Canoeiros's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Jeremias Guerra scored to the left of an out of position Arlindo Travassos, making the score, 1-0. Cleiton Nunes struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Amílton do Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canoeiros. After a rather tough play, Canoeiros's Cleiton Nunes got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th match minute, S.E Time do Ganso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davi Tavares to maneuver through the defense. Amílton do Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleiton Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After some careless play in the S.E Time do Ganso defense, Waldir Pereira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amílton do Nascimento. The S.E Time do Ganso fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amílton do Nascimento should have stopped the shot. Cleiton Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 minutes of play, Canoeiros's Cleiton Nunes made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amílton do Nascimento was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to S.E Time do Ganso getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Rafa da Costa hit a great ball. In the 32nd match minute, Canoeiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleiton Nunes to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Canoeiros booed when S.E Time do Ganso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Maria Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Canoeiros's zone, José Maria Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arlindo Travassos came out of the goal and José Maria Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Canoeiros getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Cleiton Nunes hit a great ball. After the first half Canoeiros were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Canoeiros's Arlindo Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Guerra in the 54th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidney Loyola got free with Amílton do Nascimento in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amílton do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráusio Guerra in the 57th minute of the match. Amílton do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir Pereira in the 58th minute of play. Amílton do Nascimento came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Canoeiros's Cleiton Nunes. But to his dismay, Cleiton Nunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Canoeiros's Arlindo Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafa da Costa in the 62nd minute of play. S.E Time do Ganso's Amílton do Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save S.E Time do Ganso from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, S.E Time do Ganso's Amílton do Nascimento got control of the ball when Cleiton Nunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Guerra in the 76th minute of play forced Canoeiros's goalkeeper Arlindo Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arlindo Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Guerra in the 79th minute of the match. Diogo Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Arlindo Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, S.E Time do Ganso's goalkeeper Amílton do Nascimento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cleiton Nunes. With a little luck, S.E Time do Ganso's Amílton do Nascimento got control of the ball when Cleiton Nunes tried to sneak it across the goal line.
