Humberto de Mendonça was a little too slow when Jeremias Guerra got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. Jeremias Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Humberto de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aluísio Netto's late challenge caught a S.E Time do Ganso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aluísio Netto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cariri Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Aluísio Netto hit a great ball. Humberto de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafa da Costa in the 17th minute of the match. Vicente Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafa da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Humberto de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jeremias Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the S.E Time do Ganso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremias Guerra couldn't finish the play. Glauco Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute Thiago Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílton do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in S.E Time do Ganso's zone, Glauco Maciel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amílton do Nascimento came out of the goal and Glauco Maciel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vicente Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Glauco Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Amílton do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amílton do Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Glauco Maciel sent off a good shot on target. Humberto de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Britto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Thiago Salgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd match minute, S.E Time do Ganso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Freitas to maneuver through the defense. If Glauco Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diogo Freitas during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Humberto de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Guerra in the 79th minute of the match. Adrianinho Palmeira hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Cariri Futebol Clube were furious when Adrianinho Palmeira was red carded, 81 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cariri Futebol Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! Bernardo Britto walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Rafa da Costa struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Humberto de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E Time do Ganso. Jeremias Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amílton do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Lara in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Vicente Lara got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. S.E Time do Ganso's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
