He was immediately shown a red card. 6 minutes into the game, one of Divinopolis:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Yan Domingues fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Divinopolis's protests and gave Yan Domingues a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes Divinopolis got a freekick which was hit by Yan Domingues. Guto Brandao had several of the Divinopolis's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 13 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Tadeu Cearense as he didn't even see the shot coming. With his leg Tadeu Cearense managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Curucamba's Guto Brandao fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 25th match minute, Divinopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yan Domingues to maneuver through the defense. Guto Brandao let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 27th minute shot 3-0 at rihgt post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guto Brandao in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tadeu Cearense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Deivid Freitas took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tadeu Cearense. Tadeu Cearense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Yan Domingues struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Márcio Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Divinopolis. Gustavo Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustavo Barreto was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Divinopolis's Daniel Queiroz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Márcio Mazza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Luiz Gaspar hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Guto Brandao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curucamba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guto Brandao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Leite struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Tadeu Cearense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curucamba. Márcio Mazza was a little too slow when Gustavo Barreto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 4-1. Gustavo Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 87th minute, Gustavo Barreto fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Arlindo Luz took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tadeu Cearense. Tadeu Cearense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. When Curucamba's Guto Brandao in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Divinopolis's goalie prevented a goal. Gustavo Barreto in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Márcio Mazza, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
