Tiaguinho Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Jonas Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiaguinho Zonta might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonas Vale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiaguinho Zonta ran back to his position shaking his head. If Sandrinho Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Tiaguinho Zonta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonas Vale was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Jonas Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandrinho Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. A.E. ARAÇATUBA's Kléberson Cavalcante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save A.E. ARAÇATUBA from getting a goal against them. If Doni Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Buenopolis AD booed when A.E. ARAÇATUBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo José de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Buenopolis AD's Erasmo Maciel shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 45th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Kléberson Cavalcante but with some difficulty. Marcos Melo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

Kléberson Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doni Nogueira in the 54th minute of play. Narciso Sergipano hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute of the match Christiano Matos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kléberson Cavalcante showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 61st match minute, Buenopolis AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doni Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandrinho Velasco in the 62nd minute of play forced Buenopolis AD's goalkeeper Jonas Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiaguinho Zonta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oscar Lucas hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Kléberson Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe Mesquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 81st match minute, A.E. ARAÇATUBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Augusto Arantes to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute of the match Oscar Lucas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kléberson Cavalcante skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiaguinho Zonta in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas Vale saved Buenopolis AD from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiaguinho Zonta got free with Jonas Vale in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 96 minutes into the match, A.E. ARAÇATUBA's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Mesquita came free, but Kléberson Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The A.E. ARAÇATUBA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing A.E. ARAÇATUBA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
