Pedrão Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Roberto having to interfere. A collision led to GUIRICEMA getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Rony de Medeiros hit a great ball. Christopher Fransson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yuri Garcia hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The supporters of Coventry Motors FC booed when GUIRICEMA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldinho de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Aleksandar Haltinner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coventry Motors FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aleksandar Haltinner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, GUIRICEMA's goal looked a bit too open when Christopher Fransson came free, but Cássio Roberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cássio Roberto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christopher Fransson went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Aleksandar Haltinner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cássio Roberto was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After 29 minutes of play, Coventry Motors FC's Aleksandar Haltinner made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cássio Roberto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aleksandar Haltinner in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cássio Roberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, Coventry Motors FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Trancoso came free, but Júlio César reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cássio Roberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleksandar Haltinner in the 38th minute of play. Cássio Roberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksandar Haltinner in the 44th minute of the match. Júlio César took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorival Trancoso to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Aleksandar Haltinner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Roberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Aleksandar Haltinner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coventry Motors FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GUIRICEMA the free kick. Cássio Roberto was a little too slow when Aleksandar Haltinner got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-4. After taking down the ball on Coventry Motors FC's corner Laércio Peres fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cássio Roberto quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, GUIRICEMA's Rony de Medeiros got a free kick in the 76th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Coventry Motors FC's Aleksandar Haltinner slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cássio Roberto. That made the score 0-5 after 78 minutes of play. Júlio César showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorival Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Júlio César tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, GUIRICEMA's Márcio Ramalho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Júlio César narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
