Beto Nunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mazinho Recife went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Benjamim Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ian Camargo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto França having to make a save. Benjamim Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Stquiby FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Álvaro Madureira hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadeu Vale in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beto Nunes saved Clube Náutico Capibaribe from getting behind. Ian Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Clube Náutico Capibaribe defense, Tadeu Vale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beto Nunes. The Clube Náutico Capibaribe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beto Nunes should have stopped the shot.

Eriberto Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto França having to interfere. Beto Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mazinho Recife in the 59th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Álvaro Madureira in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Clube Náutico Capibaribe's Leonel de Queirós. Ian Camargo kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Benjamim Bueno took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto França.
