Adhemar Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Nunes having to interfere. Beto Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adhemar Paraense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Paraense in the 34th minute of play forced Clube Náutico Capibaribe's goalkeeper Beto Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Lobos do Cerrado's Adhemar Paraense in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Clube Náutico Capibaribe's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adhemar Paraense ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Clube Náutico Capibaribe's goalie and right to Danilo Nascimento. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Clube Náutico Capibaribe's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Paraense in the 38th minute of play forced Clube Náutico Capibaribe's goalkeeper Beto Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Walmyr Linhares in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Clube Náutico Capibaribe's Leonel de Queirós. Clube Náutico Capibaribe's attentive Benjamim Bueno managed to snatch the ball when Walmyr Linhares made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. Ian Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clube Náutico Capibaribe's Beto Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar Paraense in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Lobos do Cerrado were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

56 minutes into the match, Clube Náutico Capibaribe's goal looked a bit too open when Kléber de Mendonça came free, but Beto Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beto Nunes came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Lobos do Cerrado's Adhemar Paraense. But to his dismay, Adhemar Paraense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Náutico Capibaribe's zone, Noel Custódio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beto Nunes came out of the goal and Noel Custódio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benjamim Bueno's late challenge caught a Lobos do Cerrado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamim Bueno helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th match minute, Clube Náutico Capibaribe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Camargo to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Noel Custódio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lobos do Cerrado's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Custódio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beto Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Walmyr Linhares made in the 80th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Clube Náutico Capibaribe's Leonel de Queirós. If Ian Camargo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ian Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Oscar Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 played minutes Lobos do Cerrado got a freekick which was hit by Válter Leão. Benjamim Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Leite having to interfere. Clube Náutico Capibaribe's Beto Nunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Clube Náutico Capibaribe from getting a goal against them. Clube Náutico Capibaribe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benjamim Bueno in the 95th minute. Lobos do Cerrado's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
