After 39 minutes, Michel do Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leão da Estradinha and the União Barbarense players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leão da Estradinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osmar Braga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. União Barbarense's Chiquinho Mandrak suffered a sore thigh after 59 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 87th match minute, Leão da Estradinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Paranaense to maneuver through the defense. Charles do Vale took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 99th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Krzysztof Dunajski. Leão da Estradinha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
