With a little luck, Jacobina FC's Lucas Berger got control of the ball when José Augusto de Brito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Goiatuba E.C.'s Marcel Kühlert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Dias in the 20th minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, José Augusto de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goiatuba E.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but José Augusto de Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Goiatuba E.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacobina FC the free kick. Tiago Dias might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcel Kühlert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiago Dias ran back to his position shaking his head. After 75 minutes, Dudu Mesquita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goiatuba E.C. and the Jacobina FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Goiatuba E.C.'s Dudu Mesquita got a free kick in the 75th minute. After 77 minutes of play Goiatuba E.C.'s José Paulo Dracena was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Goiatuba E.C. getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. José Paulo Dracena hit a great ball. Agostinho Gomes hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Laerte Pinheiro charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laerte Pinheiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Jacobina FC's Laerte Pinheiro got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 90thth minute of the game José Augusto de Brito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jacobina FC's Lucas Berger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Porto in the 91st minute of play forced Jacobina FC's goalkeeper Lucas Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Augusto de Brito in the 95th minute of the match.
