The supporters of Patativa booed when Andreza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Patativa fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Patativa's Marco Bertassi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Marco Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12thth minute of the game Marco Bertassi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Andreza's Amílton Coutinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amílton Coutinho made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Zé Pedro Simões sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes into the match, Andreza's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Batista came free, but Amílton Coutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Cléber Massa made a precise shot to the right of Amílton Coutinho. Andreza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 21st minute Marco Bertassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílton Coutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Pedro Simões struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Amílton Coutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Patativa. Amílton Coutinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Bertassi in the 23rd minute. Hortêncio Amaral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Fábio Rossi went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Andreza's zone, Hermínio Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amílton Coutinho came out of the goal and Hermínio Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermínio Batista in the 35th minute of play forced Andreza's goalkeeper Amílton Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivo Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Amílton Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermínio Batista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Amílton Coutinho made a huge save. 46 minutes into the match, Andreza's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Simões came free, but Amílton Coutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Vitório Berger might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hortêncio Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vitório Berger ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Andreza getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Elias Garcia hit a great ball. Amílton Coutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Bertassi's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Patativa's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Garcia came free, but Hortêncio Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elias Garcia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Hortêncio Amaral when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Amílton Coutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Bertassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diogo Godoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amílton Coutinho having to make a save. Amílton Coutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Batista in the 94th minute of play. Amílton Coutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Bertassi's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Amílton Coutinho came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Patativa's Marco Bertassi. But to his dismay, Marco Bertassi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1.
