The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luisinho Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Quirino in the 6th minute of the match. Fanáticos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Paulo Renato Veloso scored to the left of an out of position Luisinho Cavalcante, making the score, 1-0. In the 14th minute, André Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Fanáticos's Edu Lopes got a free kick in the 18th minute. Luisinho Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lauro Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Lauro Pinho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luisinho Cavalcante came out and tried to block the shot, but Lauro Pinho slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 23rd minute. Luisinho Cavalcante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Ciro Campidelis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Barto F.c FDFDF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Branco in the 30th minute of play forced El Barto F.c FDFDF's goalkeeper Eliseu Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, El Barto F.c FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when André Branco came free, but Eliseu Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, El Barto F.c FDFDF's Lauro Pinho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 38th match minute, Fanáticos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Lopes to maneuver through the defense. El Barto F.c FDFDF's Lauro Pinho shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 40th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Luisinho Cavalcante but with some difficulty. Luisinho Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Quirino in the 42nd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Fanáticos's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Pinho came free, but Luisinho Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ciro Campidelis was the one to do the kick off. André Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Márcio Alagoano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Eliseu Figueiredo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of El Barto F.c FDFDF booed when Fanáticos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tales Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 played minutes, El Barto F.c FDFDF's Lauro Pinho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luisinho Cavalcante came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in El Barto F.c FDFDF reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Roberto Amaral during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the Fanáticos defense, Luís Quirino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisinho Cavalcante. The Fanáticos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisinho Cavalcante should have stopped the shot. Paulo Renato Veloso took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luisinho Cavalcante. Luisinho Cavalcante dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Eliseu Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Branco in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Fanáticos's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Pinho came free, but Luisinho Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Fanáticos's zone, Luís Quirino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisinho Cavalcante came out of the goal and Luís Quirino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luisinho Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Campidelis in the 86th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, El Barto F.c FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laerte Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Benê Eger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The El Barto F.c FDFDF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Fanáticos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
