Spectators: 7481 (Terracing: 5612, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 7thth minute of the game Mauro Brasil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Orlando Pirates's Severino Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute Vitório Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdemar Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severino Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Mauro Brasil notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Orlando Pirates's Severino Cunha. Severino Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Brasil to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Mauro Brasil reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Severino Cunha. The goal made the score 0-5. Severino Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Leite in the 55th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Vilhena SS's Mauro Brasil slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Severino Cunha. That made the score 0-6 after 56 minutes of play. Severino Cunha came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Vilhena SS's Mauro Brasil. But to his dismay, Mauro Brasil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Brasil in the 66th minute of play forced Orlando Pirates's goalkeeper Severino Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Mauro Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Benjamim Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Prestes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Orlando Pirates's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Leite came free, but Severino Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Orlando Pirates's Bruninho Barbosa got a free kick in the 78th minute. Orlando Pirates's Severino Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Brasil in the 85th minute of play. Charles Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Severino Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
