But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Fontes couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Leite in the 11th minute of play forced BRC WeeD DogS's goalkeeper Laerte Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauro Brasil in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laerte Silveira saved BRC WeeD DogS from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Mauro Brasil put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Laerte Silveira. Valdemar Baptista hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Laerte Silveira stood somewhat misplaced when Mauro Brasil came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 26 minute. Laerte Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charles Prestes hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benê de Barros to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Mauro Brasil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laerte Silveira was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Vilhena SS's Charles Prestes got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 80 minutes into the game, when Nuno Hermes put in a rough tackle. After 88 played minutes BRC WeeD DogS got a freekick which was hit by André Luiz Linhares.
